Kayla Maduk is a remarkable young woman. She presented the keynote address at the 2012 and 2013 Ottawa Jewish Community School ‘s ‘Girls Night In’ event. The event was in support of Plan Canada’s ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign. The focus of the event was to raise awareness and support for girls in developing countries, as well as fostering strong leadership skills for young girls. This event was attended by over 60 girls in grades four to six, as well as their mothers, aunts, grandmothers, and other special women in their lives. With the help of Kayla, we have raised over $1000 for Plan Canada.Kayla’s keynote address was the highlight of the event. I had the pleasure of working with Kayla prior to the event, and she is a true professional. She was in regular contact to ask if there were particular topics she should cover to personalize her program for the students. Kayla’s address was an inspiration to all. She delivered many strong messages to the girls about following their dreams, and setting high goals for themselves. Kayla is a very confident and enthusiastic speaker, and she is passionate about inspiring and motivating others. Kayla spoke to us about her determination and drive to be a world champion in Tae Kwon Do.
