The beauty of keeping this blog is that I can always look back and see what I’ve done in the year. I have so many great experiences that it’s hard to pick my favourite but here is the list of my top 30 best memories. I wouldn’t have had any other these incredible experiences if it wasn’t for my great family, best friends and amazing instructors/coaches and teachers.


1. Received the Ottawa Sport Award for Taekwon-Do (Great to see Mayor Jim Watson and Carolyn Waldo again)
2. Had the best birthday party ever in Montreal with all my best friends
3. Gave my first Taekwon-Do seminar at Mount-Tremblant TKD
4. Was interviewed on Daytime Ottawa talk show with Mr. LeGrow
5. Was accepted as a Link Crew leader at my high school
6. Worked on the stage crew for our high school musical
7. Passed my 3rd degree black belt test
8. Met and trained with Wayne Thomson for excellent cross training and kick boxing
9. Qualified in all three throwing events at OFSAA (3rd place Javelin, 4th place Shot Put, 9th place discus)
10. Instructed at Sherway Sports and introduced TKD to a large group of girls
11. Participated in the Relay for Life with my high school
12. Stopped soccer temporarily to concentrate on Javelin, Shot Put and Discus with the Ottawa Lions Track Club (in the summer competed every Wednesday)
13. Attended two of Master Suarez’s sparring seminars
14. Wrote a theme song for the Canadian Cancer Society with Kelsey Hayes (Win This Fight)
15. Sang publicly for my first time at our high school coffee house. So far I have written 20 songs
16. Won 3 golds and the Overall Best Junior Female Athlete at the Pan Am Championships
17. Moved location of our dojang and rebuilt the building with all the other families
18. Amazing holiday with all my TKD friends in Magog and supported my friends compete in Triathlons
19. Spoke and did a TKD demo at the Barrhaven Food Bank Fundraiser and another demo on Canada Day as a guest for Triggers TKD
20. Trained all summer with Shane Lynch for some intense cross fit training
21. Attended Julia Cross’s Sparring Seminar (multiple World Champion from Scotland)
22. Accepted as a member of the Speaking Bureau for the ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign
23. Family holiday with all my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandpa in North Bay
24. Started my own Poster business with motivational words and quotes that I live by
25. Attended the Coup de Quebec to support my friends who were competing
26. Gave a 90 minute talk/presentation to my old elementary school on goal setting to all the grade 4 and grade 5 students
27. Attended Master Lajueness’s seminar in Mount-Tremblant which focused on the psychological aspects of Taekwon-D0
28. Earned and maintained Honour Role for my school marks and the Healthy Active Living Award
29. Wrote an original song that was made into a video for a Media class project and now some other songs are being recorded too
30. Had the opportunity to train and spar with Julio Carlos from NYC ( World Champion)
31. Gave a pattern seminar with Mr. LeGrow and hopefully it will be the first of many. Also got to run competition trainings
